Is the chalet ski in / ski out?
No.  Mt Baker Ski Area is in a national forest, so there are no accommodations right at the ski area.  We are about as close as you can get, just at the bottom of the hill.
How far are you from the ski area?
We are 18 miles from the ski area.
Where is the chalet located?
Just past the town of Glacier, Washington, on your way to Mt Baker Ski Area.  Our chalet is in the Mt Baker Rim neighborhood at mile marker 34 on Mt Baker Highway.
Do you have internet access?
Sorry, no.  We have tried, but can't get a line-of-sight to a satellite. But anyway, you're coming to the mountains to get away from all that, right?  There is free, reliable internet access a few minutes away at Chair 9 Pizza and also about a 10-minute drive away, at Maple Fuels.
Do you have cable TV?
No, but we do have a VCR and DVD player and a selection of movies.  If you want to catch a live sports event, we recommend Chair 9 pizza and pub.
Do you have cell phone reception?
There is no cell phone reception in the town of Glacier.  However, there is cell phone reception up at the ski area.
How many people can you sleep?
We have beds for 8-10 people.
What else is there to do besides ski?
Plenty!  Please visit our "attractions" page for some ideas.
Are there any restaurants around?
Yes, we have a listing of local restaurants at the chalet.
Is there anyplace around to go sledding?
Yes!  There is excellent sledding absolutely free up at Heather Meadows, the upper parking lot for the Ski Area.  There is no particular place with a magic carpet and a line-up.  Just scout out a likely-looking slope and go!
Can I bring my pet?
Sorry, no.
Do we need to bring bed linens or towels?
We supply all bed linens and bath towels.  If you would like a separate towel for the hot tub, you will need to bring one.
How many cars can we bring?
There is parking at the chalet for up to five cars.  There is no charge for parking.
